The Traut Lake lies four kilometers (2.5 miles) from Németbánya in the heart of the forest. The splendid environment provides a pleasant time-out for fishermen. (Day-tickets can be bought in the Bakonyi Menedék). However, the lake also offers hikers and cyclists a place for resting or for a picnic. (Purpose built Seating and barbeque areas have been built around the lake.)
Cycling on the asphalted forest roads (or dirt roads) of the Bakony Hils provides both a relaxing or challenging experience. Tour Map is accessible in the “Bakonyi Menedék”.
The Hungarian Countrywide Blue Tour is a part of the Hungarian section of the European Long Distance Walking Route E4. Section 8 of the Hungarian Blue Tour passes trough Németbánya. The total length of the Section between Váröslőd and Zirc is 38.7 km (24 miles), the total elevation change is 1020 metres (3346 feet). Checkpoint (stamping place), where you can validate the completition of the section, is in the “Üvegtigris” Pub (Pub to the Glas Tiger) on the main square or at the last house of the village. (The seal is in the mailbox.)

The Bakony pleasure train:
The pleasure train starting from the village of Bakonyjákó shows you the real beauty of the forest. The train offers travelers three different routes, two of which goes through Németbánya. If wished the pleasure train picks up visitors as they pass through at Bakonyi Menedék.
Petting farm and historical pleasure park
The Tarka Boci Porta (Moo-Calf Yard), organic farm offers to visitors freshly made goat cheese, and fresh milk from the cows and goats. On the farm there is the possibility for children to take part in various programs, to pet animals or choose from different traditional entertainment-forms.
