Spa in Papa

Veszprém
A trip to the town of Veszprém could be an interesting half or a whole day entertainment program. After a substantial walk in the historical town center nice restaurants and beer-houses wait for the hungry, thirsty and tired travelers. For families the Veszprém Zoo  is worth visiting. Sport-fans shouldn’t miss out on a handball match of the MKB Veszprém team, played in the new Veszprém Arena.
 
Adventure Park
In the village of Kislőd the Sobri Jóska Bakony Adventura Park opened its gate in July 2009, offering active recreation possibilities to families and friends on a nearly 30 hectare (74 acre) area.  
 
Monastry in Bakonybél
The Benedictine Monastery was founded originally by King St István (Stephen I of Hungary) in 1018.  The Baroque church was consecrated in 1754.  Teacher-training for the Hungarian secondary schools sustained by the Benedictine order used to be conducted in the Monastery. Today herbs and fruits are cultivated in the arboretum lying at the back of the church.
 
House of forest in Bakonybél
This museum introduces the geological history of the Bakony Hills, its flora and fauna and the forestry.
 
Zirc  
Zirc, with its Arboretum,  is the capital of the Bakony Hills.  
 
Somló wine region  
In the Somló wine region Friends of Wine can taste full-bodied wines. The wines produced on Somló’ s volcanic slopes are exclusively whites. Characteristic types of the region are the Furmint, the Riesling, the Hárslevelű, the Chardonnay, the Traminer and of course the Juhfark. According to folk tradition the freshly wedded couple has to drink from the wine of Somló (Somlói) if they wanted to conceive a male child. Béla Hamvas, writer and philosopher, calls the „Somlói” the wine of the profound solitude. During the 18-19 century Somlói was kept in pharmacies as medicine, which was known to cure 18 types of illnesses. “Vinum Somlainum omni sanum”. It means that the Somlói cures everything. The “Days of Somló” are held in the middle of September.
 
Herend Local Porcelain Factory
During a visit to the Porcelain Factory guest can follow up on the steps of the porcelain manufacturing, and painting. In the Porcelain Museum visitors are able to see all the popular patterns and designs, and they can buy fantastic products in the shop.  Herend is 20 km (12.43 miles) from Németbánya.
 
Castle of Csesznek
The Castle of Csesznek is situated on the Mainroad 82.  The castle is thought to have been built in the 13th Century. Under the name of “Summer of Csesznek” different culinary and traditional events are organized for visitors.
 
Döbrönte  
Döbrönte lies 20 km (12.5 miles ) from Németbánya on the bank of the Bitva stream. The settlement was founded beneath a medieval castle, called Szarvaskő. You can walk to Döbrönte from the village of Bakonyjákó, or to go there by bicycle.
